Swimming WA is heading to Bunbury for a South West Regional Development Weekend at the South West Sports Centre.
Bringing together swimmers, coaches and parents from across the region, the weekend will combine practical pool sessions with education and development opportunities designed to support swimming at every level.

Friday | Backstroke & Breaststroke Skills
Kick off the weekend with focused backstroke and breaststroke development, with sessions tailored to different age groups.
7–13 years | 4:00pm–5:00pm
14–17 years | 5:15pm–6:15pm
18+ years | 6:30pm–7:30pm
Saturday | Racing Skills + Education
Saturday brings together practical racing skills in the pool alongside development and education opportunities for the wider swimming community.
Racing Skills Sessions
7–13 years | 9:00am–10:00am
14–17 years | 10:15am–11:15am
18+ years | 11:30am–12:30pm
The day will also include a series of development sessions:
- South West Academy of Sport Introduction – TBC
- Coach Education – TBC
- Parent Education – TBC
- Swimmer Education – TBC

Sunday | Butterfly & Freestyle Skills
Finish the weekend with dedicated butterfly and freestyle skill development.
7–13 years | 9:00am–10:00am
14–17 years | 10:15am–11:15am
18+ years | 11:30am–12:30pm
Whether you’re a junior swimmer developing your skills, an older swimmer looking to refine your technique, a coach continuing your development or a parent wanting to better support your swimmer, the South West Regional Development Weekend provides an opportunity for the whole swimming community to get involved.
