March Club Championships will be held in the Outdoor 50m Pool on Thursday March 5th.  All swimmers must have renewed their SLD and SWA membership for the 2019/2020 season before they can enter club nights or meets.

Please read the following information before entering Club Night.

Club Championship Events are not compulsory, swimmers may swim 0, 1 or 2 events.

Nomination Events are limited by age group as per SWA guidelines and by squad as listed below.

Minnows Squad members may only swim 50m events.  No minnows swimmers may enter 50m Butterfly without the express instruction of their coach. 

Marlins Silver Squad members may enter a maximum of 2 nomination events totalling 150m or less for their nomination swims. eg. 2 x 50m or 1 x 50m and 1 x 100m.

Marlins Gold Squad members may enter a maximum of 2 nomination events totalling 250m or less for their nomination swims. Eg. 2 x 50m, 1 x 50 & 1 x 100m, 2 x 100m, or 1 x 50m & 1 x 200m.

Competition Squad members may enter a maximum of 2 nomination events totalling no more than 450m.

Fitness Squad members may enter club night, please speak with your coach or club night co-ordinator if clarification of events eligible is needed.

All swimmers need to be aware that events will be run in the order advertised (except where entries are low and events are combined).  Please ensure you leave a gap between events so swimmers can catch their breath.  If you have entered and cannot attend please email [email protected] before 4pm to scratch.

Please note: Times will only be sent to SWA if we have the required officials available.

Swimmers ages for Club Championship events are calculated as their age on April 13^th 2020 and scores will count towards the Summer pointscores.  If a child is currently 10 but turns 11 in March, they will be swimming in the 11yo age group.  This rule only applies to club nights.

Entries will close at 8pm on Wed 8th Jan.  Please note that NO late entries can be accepted.

Swimmers are asked to arrive before 4.45pm for Dry Warm Up, followed by warm up in the pool.  A short presentation will take place before swimming commences at 6pm.    We would ask that all swimmers remain in the marshalling area at the deep end of the pool at all times, events cannot be delayed while we search for missing children.   

Club night is only possible because of our volunteers, all swimmers require a parent present to assist with timekeeping or marshalling.  This is a good way to learn about time keeping before being rostered to do it at a meet, and a great chance to meet other parents.  One parent timekeeper will be allowed free admission to the pool per swimmer to fulfil their volunteer duties.
