Results
Medals to be awarded to the fastest swimmers in finals for the following age groups:
  • Males: "14 years", "15 years", "16 years", "17 years", "18/19 years" and "Open"
  • Females: "13 years", "14 years", "15 years", "16 years", "17/18 years" and "Open"
  • Medals for Multi Class events will be determined using the MCPS
  • Medals will not be awarded if the qualifying time is not met
  • The Long Course Shield will be awarded to the highest scoring metro and country club. The winning club will be determined by standard point system with bonus points for relevant age group resident records over both State Age Long Course and State Open Long Course Championships.
  • The Multi Class sprint championship is a mixed 50m freestyle event, the winner will be determined using MCPS and awarded the MC Sprint Championship Trophy.

All entrants must be 2020/21 Annual Members of Swimming WA. Entry Times must have been achieved since 1st January 2019.

  • Open Championship events will be swum as timed finals.
  • Age Championship events will be swum as heats and finals.
  • All Multi Class events will be swum as timed finals.
  • Swimmers are requested to scratch from events they do not intend on swimming.
  • 800m and 1500m Swimmers are required to register their intent to swim those events.
  • All 50m, 100m, 200m and 400m events will be swum in heats and finals format. Heats session to be seeded by time (not age) with the fastest swimmers in each age category advancing to swim in age group finals during the evening session.
  • There will be no B Finals
  • Maximum of two visitors will be eligible to compete in age group finals.
  • Clubs are permitted to enter 2 relay teams per event.
  • Clubs are permitted to nominate 2 reserves in freestyle relays and 4 reserves in medley relays.
  • Relay only swimmers must be listed as a relay swimmer or reserve upon close of entries (where they have not qualified into the meet as an individual)
  • Clubs can substitute a swimmer who is already entered into the meet as an individual, into a relay event if they are not listed as a relay reserve.

Swimmers who do not withdraw from a final within the allocated time frame (30 minutes after posting of morning heat results) will incur a $50 fine. Heats results will be posted in marshalling area and on results board. Withdrawals can be made at the marshalling table.

Any 12 year old girl who has met the 13 year old qualifying time or 13 year old boy who has met the 14 year old qualifying time with a birthday between 18 Dec 2020 and 21 March 2021 can enter the State Age Championships.

Please note that all Entry times must have been achieved since Tuesday, 1 January 2019 and must have been achieved in a Long Course (50m) pool..
