Event Information:

Please make note of the following details:

A Champion League will be decided based on points. Swimming WA will calculate and update the accumulated points twice daily to keep everyone informed about each League's position during the Championships. A perpetual shield will be presented to the winning League at the end of the Junior Championships.
Medals will be awarded during the event and announced once the officials have confirmed the medallists.
On Tuesday morning at 8:30 am, before the Opening Ceremony, there will be a March Past of all League teams. All athletes present at the time are welcome to participate, and they should wear their respective League shirts. Athletes who are not scheduled to swim early that morning but would like to be part of the March Past are also welcome. Attendance is not mandatory for League participants.
Each League team should have been contacted in relation to their shirts, if you have not had an update, please contact your club. Country League will be able to collect their shirts each day of the Championships.
A table occupied by Swimming WA staff members in the foyer of HBF. You can pick up swim caps and swap any incorrect t-shirt sizes that you may have received. This will be open from 9am – 12pm each day of competition.
Thanks to a wonderful grant from Variety WA, Swimming WA has secured funding to provide earmuffs for a more peaceful and comfortable experience at Swimming WA Pool events for any athletes who experience sensory overload. This is a trial phase in providing a sensory safe space for those in the community who wish to use it. Please registered your interest via the link provided, we have limited stock available, and allocation will be first come first service bases for each day of competition.

NEW Event Entry Fees Refund Policy - Applicable from the date of entry
Swimming WA will only provide a refund for entry fees in either pool or open water swimming competitions in the following situations:
1. Illness or injury prevents an athlete from competing, or
2. A technical error has been proven to have occurred on the meet entry system, resulting in a negative financial effect on the user.
A medical certificate covering the days in which the member was intending to swim is required to claim a refund for Part 1. above. If a medical certificate cannot be provided, Swimming WA reserves the right to reject the refund request.

Event Entry Fees Refund Procedure

To request a refund because of illness or injury, please contact the following at Swimming WA.

Your request for a refund should provide the following:
1. A medical certificate, clearly covering the days in which the member intended to swim
2. The name of the meet entered
3. The event the swimmer withdrew from
4. The swimmer’s name and contact details
The refund of entry fees will primarily be refunded to the credit card which was used for the initial transaction.
In the event a member experiences a technical error while performing an online meet entry transaction which results in member fees debited from them more than once, the member can claim reimbursement/reversal of the duplicate transaction from Swimming WA. Proof of fees being debited more than once must be provided to claim reimbursement (eg. Copy of credit card or bank statement with all fields redacted with the exception of the transaction).

Top 12 placed athletes from each age and gender will represent their League in their event for junior athletes - further details will be announced on the 17th of March. Age and open athlete will require qualifying times.

Age for the ranking will be taken at the beginning of the meet (11 Apr 2023). In order to participate in a championship event - Swimmers will need to be either "Annual" or "Seasonal". Junior Dolphin members turning 9 before the meet will need to upgrade their membership to Annual or Seasonal in order to participate.

Please note that all Entry times must have been achieved since Saturday, 15 October 2022 and must have been achieved in a Long Course (50m) pool..
