An Interclub Swim Meet has been organised at Kwinana Recquatic, Kwinana between Rockingham and Kwinana Swimming Clubs.
We will have SWA Qualified Technical Officials on pool deck, so that our swimmers can gain OFFICIAL TIMES.
Warmups 1.00pm - 1.45pm, Racing commences at 2.00pm
The event is for Boys 13yrs/Under and Girls 12yrs/Under to gain official times, and who knows you may snag a qualifying time for another event at the upcoming Junior SC Championships.
All of the events have been set up to be the State Qualfying time and slower, therefore you can only enter events if you don't have a current qualifying time.
Because the meet is only going to run for 2.5 hours maximum, be conscious of entering events that are close to one another, so that you are liable to be jumping from one event into the next.
Who knows, you may even qualify for your 1st event. For the times to be official, we will require 3 timekeepers per lane.
There is a maximum of 5 events, and swimmers will be aged up to the 2nd September 2023.
UPDATE: Event 27 & 28 200m Butterfly has been added to the program, but please note it will be swum directly after Ev 2; 200m Freestyle and before Ev 3; 50m Free, so be aware if you intend to do the 200m Freestyle as well.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The following swimmers are also able to enter this meet based on being aged up to the 2nd September 2023.
Junior Dolphin 7 year olds will have 50m Freestyle, 50m Backstroke and 50m Breaststroke on offer.
Junior Dolphin 8 year olds will have 50m Free, 50m Back, 50m Breast, 50m Fly, 100m Free and 100m Ind Medley on offer as per SWA policy.
BE AWARE: If you are a 9 year old Social Participation Member or a 9 years Junior Dolphin Member and do achieve a State Qualifying time, the only way you would be able to enter
the Swimming WA Junior Championships is once you have considered the cost of upgrading your SWA membership to an Annual Competitive membership, taking into account,
everybody's membership fees expire on 30th September, and you will have to renew your membership from 1st October. .
Please note that all Entry times must have been achieved since Saturday, 1 January 2022 from a Short Course (25m) pool. If no time is available, then it will look at the Long Course (50m) times..
